Welcome to this four season recreational delight. The location is on the south side of Sebec Lake, only 5 miles from Dover-Foxcroft, a short walk from the public boat landing at Greeley's Landing, and near Maine's Peaks Kenny State Park. Dover-Foxcroft is only a 10 minute ride away. This quaint New England town is the capital of Piscataquis County, and has a golf course, restaurants, grocery stores, a library, a small movie and entertainment theater offering the likes of Maine's own classic comedian Bob Marley, a laundry mat, full service hospital and shopping attractions. Don't forget the ice cream parlors. Sebec Lake is well known for its fantastic fishing, including native landlocked salmon. There are also some of Maine's biggest togue (lake trout) along with plenty of smallmouth bass and white perch, plus plenty of sunfish for the younger kids to catch. In the beginning and end of the year, there is snowmobiling, snow shoeing, cross country skiing, and ice fishing right at your fingertips. The Peaks-Kenney State Park is 2 miles down the road. It is open in the winter to use the trails. There is parking available. There is a snowmobile trail right behind the camp that can take you all over the States ITS trails without using a vehicle. The snowmobile trail goes right to the lake so that if you want to ice fish, you can go right from the camp. In the Spring and Summer Sebec Lake is a clear water lake that is perfect for kayaking, sailing, water skiing, or any other water sport you and your family might enjoy. You can rent a boat slip or a boat at the marina, which is the same ¼ mile away. The boat landing is well cared for, and easy to use if you choose to launch your boat instead of keeping at the marina. The public beach available within walking distance to Sebec Lake, for a refreshing swim.
